Hi Everyone!
I just accidently deleted this half of my home page so I guess it's
time for something new!
I have a couple of new books out this spring. Deep Waters is now
in a soft cover edition and Meet Manitoba Children's Authors is hot
off the press! We're doing a launch at McNally Robinson
Booksellers in Winnipeg - Polo Park - events alcove - on June 30
at 7:00 PM. There will be over 25 of the authors present at the
event so invite a friend, have some cake, and meet our marvelous
Manitoba children's authors!

Meet Manitoba Children's Authors will be a great resource for
teachers, librarians, parents and kids. Thirty-seven awesome
Manitoba authors are profiled in this book. Learn how they began
their writing careers, what books they personally recommend, and
fun facts about each author. Also included are recommended
writing exercises, advice for young writers and information about
upcoming book releases.
For the summer months at least, Meet Manitoba Children's
Authors will be available exclusively at McNally Robinson
Booksellers in Winnipeg but you can order it online from them at:
www.mcnallyrobinson.com
Deep Waters is now in soft cover. The new version has
endorsements by Native American and First Nations people
and also has a bonus music Cd offer included (just my little way of
saying thank you to all you loyal readers out there).
For those of you who don't know what Deep Waters is all about ,
it's a contemporary novel set in the fictional First Nations
community of Rabbit Lake. Especially relevant now in light of the
Prime Minister's apology to Aboriginal Canadians on June 11,
2008, it is my desire that Deep Waters might serve as a bridge of
understanding betwen Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
Journey with Sarah as she is reunited with her birth mother,
Gracie, a residential school (Indian boarding school) survivor. And
discover with Sarah why Gracie still has so many struggles in her
life, even after all these years.
A fast-paced action-filled book that will be hard to put down, Deep
Waters also continues the story of Colin and Sarah growing
friendship and blossoming love - for all you romantics out there!
Deep Waters is available at McNally Robinson Booksellers
and online at www.risingabove.ca (Rising Above is one of my
favourite organizations so be sure to check out their site while
you're there !)
Deep Waters can also be found in the following locations:
Norway House, MB - Teeka's in the Rossville shopping mall
Kenora, ON - HoJoe's Coffee and Books
Ear Falls , ON - Bumper to Bumper (bookstore in the back)
Sioux Lookout , ON - Good News Books 'N' Things
